IS VIDEOGRAPHY NECESSARY FOR A WEDDING?

This isn't a question that's necessarily asked directly to us but we do see the question pop up in random places often. There's a simple reason why we got into the wedding videography business.  Most people say their wedding is an out of body experience. Having the skillset to transform someones wedding day into a film gives us great joy.  It provides couples the opportunity to relive their wedding all over again in a much more realistic way than photographs.  Numerous brides we've worked with have told us that having a videographer was the best decision they made, other than getting married of course!

WHAT EXACTLY IS A DOCUMENTARY EDIT?

The documentary edit is a more in-depth look at your wedding day.  Every video package I offer includes a highlight film but the doc edit is only included in a few. The highlight film is exactly what the name entails. It's a highlight of the best moments from your wedding day. The doc edit on the other hand is linear film that provides all the segments throughout the wedding day. These include the pre-ceremony & getting ready prep, the full ceremony, cocktail hour, introductions, special dances, cake cutting, every toast spoken, bouquet & garter toss, the dance party, the send off and any other event that takes place during your wedding day.  The doc edit is crafted with our unique yet classic editing style while also overlaying the film with songs of your choice. If you feel like the highlight film just isn't enough, I highly recommend a video package that offers the doc edit.

HOW  OBTRUSIVE  ARE  YOU?

When couples are deciding whether or not they want to have video, they often worry about how obtrusive it will be to add a team of videographers to their day. Couples that are a little more camera shy express this concern.  It's important for us to know what boundaries you’d like to set. Past brides have told us they had no clue how we captured some of the shots we got because we were unobtrusive to their liking. However,  there are certain shots that we must get with our cameras that look awesome in the video, but we're a little bit more visible. We try our hardest to never get in the photographers way as well. It’s up to every couple to decide where their comfort zone is with that. There are some couples that say, “stay away, we don’t want to see you all day,” while other couples that say, “do whatever it takes, I don’t care if you have to stand next to the groom during the vows, get the shot!” Neither couple is right or wrong for what they want, everybody just has different opinions. It’s our job to communicate with the couple before the wedding and find out just what the right approach is to filming their wedding.

FAQ

frequently asked questions, quick turn around time video,

WHAT'S YOUR TURN AROUND TIME?

Our goal is to get your film out as soon as we can without rushing the creative process. Our editing style is unique from the typical wedding video companies that are more traditional which takes more time.  The current turn around time can be anywhere from 3-4 months depending on the time of year. That being said, we promise it will be worth the wait.

FAQ

italian wedding videography

WHY THE ITALIAN THEME?

We've been asked this quite a few times and we love answering it! The company does have an italian theme simply because Anthony (owner) is 100 percent italian and very proud of it. He went to Italy for the first time a couple years ago and fell in love with the village of Positano. He loved it so much in fact, he had to change his business name to something that represented his italian heritage. He chose "Thats Amore Films" because of not only the word Amore' meaning Love in italian, but "That's Amore" is also a very popular italian song by the late Dean Martin that is played at almost every italian wedding!  We feel like weddings and Italy go hand in hand.  People often get married or honeymoon in Italy because of the romance and beauty that Italy offers!

WHERE WILL YOU TRAVEL TO?

Our advertising and marketing is targeted strongly in Austin, which is where we are based out of but because Anthony (Owner) is originally from Dallas, our business is also very well known there as well.  Not only will we travel to surrounding areas like Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, but we are worldwide wedding videographers. Brides and grooms from all over the world appreciate the films we create. So far we've made magic in Saint Lucia, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and a few others. We look forward to traveling across the Atlantic for some European weddings in the near future.

There is NO travel fee for Dallas weddings. For weddings in other Texas cities, my travel fees vary.  For anywhere outside of Texas but still in the United States, we offer a flat travel fee of $500 on top of any package listed on my website. This fee does not include travel costs (flights, lodging, etc.) For weddings outside of the U.S. I have to draw up a custom quote.  Email us today so we can start planning!
